About Us

Sean Knox is the owner and President of POI Employment, LLC and POI Employer Services, LLC. Sean has over 10 years of experience in professional staffing in Hawaii. After working for a national, mainland based staffing agency, Sean decided to open POI Employment and POI Employer Services with a focus on personalized, high quality services.

Sean has been working in business management since graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Puget Sound in 1993. Although Sean is a “local boy,” growing up on both the Big Island and Maui, his business management experience has taken him to Washington and England. In 1999, he returned home to Hawaii with his wife and business partner, Sarah Knox.

Sarah Knox is the co-owner and Vice President of Operations of POI Employment, LLC and POI Employer Services, LLC. Sarah oversees all Human Resource issues including payroll, benefits management, and workplace safety. She assists our clients with developing and implementing safety programs.

Prior to opening our office, Sarah worked for nine years as an Occupational Therapist. She is very familiar with workplace requirements and can assist with job descriptions and workplace ergonomic adaptations to prevent injury. Sarah received her Bachelor of Science from the University of Puget Sound in 1994 and moved to Hawaii with Sean in 1999.
